The interaction processes potentially affected the dissolved ion release and carry trace elements. This study aims to determine the process of interaction some between groundwater with hidrothermal solution in active volcanic environment and its potential to ion release process that carry the trace elements and can be a potential source of groundwater contaminants. Measurement of physical properties, major ions and trace elements analyses conducted on 55 cold springs and five hot springs at the northern part of Bandung Basin. Hydrogeochemical and principal component analysis (PCA) analyses were conducted to determine correlation between hydrogeochemical data. The results show the ion release of groundwater with the environment by the reverse cation exchange process that is affected by the hidrothermal solution and brine formation groundwater. There are several trace elements that exceed the WHO drinking water standard concentration limits. The elements of Ferrum (Fe), Barium (Ba), Arsenic (As), Lead (Pb), Cadnium (Cd), Fluoride (F) derived from connate water / mature water are brine water. The trace elements of Aluminum (Al), Fluoride (F), Boron (B) are derived from hidrothermal solutions. The Chrome (Cr) followup element is derived from oxide mineral dissolution.<p align="justify"> text
