These values has not been well-known within the society, as seen from how carelessly we treat the Rupiah bill.To delve and spread awareness on these values, a visual exploration was done on the Rupiah currency, mainly on the bill released in year 1952-1962. The process of exploration has discovered many distint characteristic of the currency, which are the element of color, illustration, typography, ornaments, and layout. As a mean to raise awareness of the Rupiah currency’s visual beauty and complexity, this design proposes a new corporate identity for the nation’s biggest economic and monetary institution, Bank of Indonesia. This new corporate identity design consistss of the grand design which includes typography, color scheme, and visual stock in a form of distinct ornaments found in bills, made by guilloche and etching techniques. Aside from that, the redesigning includes the application of the grand design towards Bank of Indonesia’s products and utilities, which are bank certificate, letterhead, corporate envelope, business card, event backdrop, annual report, ID card, mobile app interface, website interface, building identity, and employee uniform. text |
