This research discuss about design and product variety develompent of
drilling machine transmission components by implementing parametric design.

Parametric design is a process based on algorithmic thinking that utilizes

parameters to determine the relation between design intent and result. Parameter

that is varied in this research is only dimension. The dimensions of components

that are not standardized can change linearly. However, dimensions of

components that are standardized have to change incrementally.

The results of this research are designs of drilling machine transmission

components for six motor that have different rated power. The designs are

conformed to the related standards or component availabilty. Assessment to the

generated spindle design have been carried out the spindle and proved that the

spindle complies the DR&O. It is expected that this research wil inspire fellow
