Summary: | Nowadays, industry of manufacturing is currently have a rapid development, especially in Indonesia. The development of the manufacturing industry caused the need for manufacturing equipment to increase, especially for machine tools. However, the increasing need for machine tools in Indonesia are not followed by the development of machine tool technology. One of the simplest machine tools that tend to be easy to develop is drilling machine. <br />
<br />
In this study will be explained about how the planning process of making machine tools, especially drilling machine, is arranged. This research was carried out by processing reverse engineered drilling machine design that were developed with parametric design methods in order to become a process planning documentation that could facilitate manufacturing industry in making their own machine tools. The documentation is in the form of a list of machining process sequences, equipment needed, machining process parameters along with easy-to-understand illustrations. <br />

Along with research on the development of machine tools, it is expected that Indonesian manufacturing industry players will be able to compete in producing machine tools produced by children of the nation. |
