Summary: | Various correlations have been developed to predict the pressure drop along the tubing in a well. The accuracy of this prediction will then affect the production optimization process of the well. The number of the flowing phases that is more than one, especially in a gas-condensate well complicates the calculation of the pressure gradient. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the use of Hasan-Kabir’s semi-mechanistic correlation in gas-condensate wells, by using the field data presented on Govier and Fogarasi’s paper[1]. <br />

The calculation requires the determination of the flow pattern of the well first, and the corresponding correlation is then used. The result shows good agreement with the measured data, by having only an average absolute error of 7,03%. |
