The area has a hilly topography with slope ramps up to steep. The land under pine trees has been utilized for seasonal cultivation of chili, coffee, grass and cassava. However, planting such species may pose a risk of erosion. The purpose of this study is to find out suitable plant species on the land under pine stands that did not cause high erosion rate and erosion hazard (TBE) levels. The research was conducted in Bosscha pine forest area, Lembang, West Bandung regency, from May to August 2017. Observations were made on four types of seasonal crops: chili, coffee, grass, and cassava planted under pine trees on 2 different slope of 5° and 6°. The amount of erosion is measured by the Method USLE (Universal Soil Loss Equation). The results showed that the erosion of 5.5 cm (CK5) slope and 6.5 cm (CK6) slopes were 12.76 tons / ha / year and 22.79 tons / ha / year. Coffee planted on slopes 5° (KK5) and 6 ° (KK6) resulted erosion of 32.31 ton / ha / year and 41.09 ton / ha / year. Grass planted on 5 ° (RK5) and 6 ° (RK6) resulted erosion of 4.70 ton / ha / year and 9.85 ton / ha / year. Cassava planted on 5 ° (SK5) and 6 ° (SK6) resulted erosion of 113.43 ton / ha / year and 160.84 ton / ha / year. The highest erosion value is SK6 which is 160.84 ton / ha / year, while the lowest erosion value is RK5 which is 4.70 ton / ha / year. Bosscha pine forest area has 3 TBE classes that are medium, heavy, and very heavy. TBE classes are found in CK5, RK5, and RK6 plants, heavy TBE classes found in KK5, KK6 and CK6 plants. While very heavy TBE class is found on SK5 and SK6. <p align="justify"> text |
