ABSTRACT <br /> <br /> Now day the development of automotive industry in Indonesia is increasing, we can see in car sales every year increasing. Various brands of cars in Indonesia get benefit from increasing vehicle sales in Indonesia, not only automotive brands but also manufacture of automotive components. There for each company will attempt to attract consumers to buy their products. The impact is vehicle company makes new models updated, and it make new product component created in manufacture also. The research site of this thesis is in automotive component manufacturing factory. <br /> <br /> This research using DMAIC methodology (Define, Measure, Analysis, Control). Define will explain about the new project Purge Hose Canister. Measure will show the calculation. Analysis will open up the possibility of the root of the problem. Control will show an effort to resolve this problem sustainably. <br /> <br /> PT. XYZ is a manufacturer of automotive components, therefore, as the acceleration of the needs of new components model required by Agen Tunggal Pemegang Merek (ATPM), PT. XYZ requires speed up in developing New Product. Issue in PT. XYZ is the development time of 7 months on the paper according to engineer data. The second problem is the recording of data seen at the time of stock op-name, actual mismatch and data discrepancies reached Rp 2,329,539,147 Because of it will affect the validation of data when the consumer doing audit. Root problem at PT. XYZ is on the data recording that causes the data is improper and also damaged the Lathe machine. This research has two different root causes, therefore problem solving is divided into two problem solving. The first problem of the development of new product is completed by purchasing Lathe machine and shortening the development of new product to 5 months. Second is data recording problems are done by making Management Information System (MIS). With this research is expected to be useful for the company to achieve customer satisfaction. <br />
