Description
Summary:Indonesia have many different type of ore deposits such as porphyry and skarn. Wanagon Prospect and surrounding area characterized by gold and copper mineralisation. The main control of gold mineralisation are magmatic hydrothermal as source of fluids, faulth structure as media to the movement fluids for metal transport and lithologi as reservoir of ore. The main purpose of the research is to identify the hydrothermal alteration and mineralisation at Wanagon area base on Wanagon drill holes at WAN-10-02 and WAN-12-01. Analytical method using petrography, mineragraphy, XRF and XRD. Base on the result of research, Wanagon area consist of four types of alteration, They are: (1) Diopside-Garnet Epidote (Skarn), (2) CalcitetBiotite-Epidote (Potassic),(3) Quartz-Sericite ± Epidote (Phyllic), (4) ChalcedonyCalcite-Dickite. Gold mineralisation occurred at limestone and sandstone, and significant at replacement sulfide rocks, within average of Au grade assay = 0.4 ppm, but unidentified by the applicated methods. Gold mineralisation invisible within sulphide complex (H2S and HS) and controlled by litology and faulth structures. Metal ore mineralisation of Wanagon are pyrite, chalcopyrite, sphalerite, galena, covellite, and hematite.
