DEM is made using terrestrial or extraterrestrial methods. TLS (Terrestrial Laser Scanner) is one of the technologies in the terrestrial method. TLS that is currently developing is Teledyne Optech Polaris. The purpose of the study was to analyze the making of DEM using Teledyne Optech Polaris and validate the resulting DEM.

In this study, surface modeling was carried out using data from measurements using TLS. Measurement using TLS comes quick and easi because the user interface makes it easy to operate the device. Modeling begins with the registration and georeference process to unify all data. Filtering is done to eliminate data that is not needed for modeling. The soil surface model (DEM) will be compared with the measurement results using GNSS RTK, levelling, and a distometer to determine the accuracy of the model. Registration which has an average error value of 0.051 meters produces the DEM with the smallest horizontal position difference of 0.001 meters and the largest is 0.870 meters. Vertical position validation results have the smallest difference of 0.004 meters and the largest is 0.218 meters.

text
