INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/28368 Along with the increasing technological developments, the material needs that can support it is predicted to increas as well. One of the materials that can be applied in a promising application for electronic technology is graphene, because it has interesting properties such as high electronic conductivity, high thermal conductivity, high transparence, very strong and flexible. Therefore, many researchers try to do various synthesis methods that can produce graphene on a large scale, inexpensive, and eco-friendly. One of facile synthesis method to produce graphene is chemical synthesis by reducing the Graphene Oxide (GO) to form Reduced Graphene Oxide (rGO). There are 3 steps in the chemically process (i) Synthesis of Graphite Oxide, (ii) Exfoliation Graphite Oxide to form Graphene Oxide, (iii) Reduction of Graphene Oxide using reducing agent. Hydrzine Hydrate is one of the reducing agent that effective for remove oxigen from GO. However, toxic gases are generated by this methode. Therefore in this study used an eco-friendly reducing agent is L-Ascorbic Acid which we usually encounter in foods such as oranges, vegetables and others. The synthesis method used is a combination of modification of Hummer and Marcano methods developed in our laboratory using microwave for accelerating the reduction process. The reduction process is done by varying the microwave mode (high, Med, Defrost, and Low) and microwave radiation time as well as the amount of molarity of L-Ascorbic Acid and volume ratio (GO : LAA) used. Characterization XRD (X-ray Diffraction) result, it is known that the oxide of graphene has been successfully reduced and the morphology formed in the form of sheet has been observed from SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy). The highest conductivity was obtained at 41.6 S/cm and after annealing process at 300°C for 45 minutes, the electrical conductivity of RGO-LAA increased to 64.3 S/cm. text |
