Description
Summary:This research aims to make a photometer that can measure the intensity and absorbance of light with a low cost using a photodiode sensor. The dual-beam instrument method was chosen because it is expected to be able for making a instrument that can overcome the instability of light sources and also can take measurements in a room that is not isolated from outside light of some noises. This instrument uses the Arduino Uno microcontroller to process data and LabVIEW to manage the data display and control panel on the monitor screen. Based on the experiments that have been carried out, it can be concluded that the dual-beam instrument method provides better results than the single-beam instrument method. The reference curves obtained when attempting absorbance by testing a sample solution at several levels of concentration can be used to guess the sample solution whose concentration is unknown.
