One of the Wali Songo figures is Sunan Drajat (1470 - 1522 AD), in Drajat Village, Lamongan. At present, the tomb of complex Sunan Drajat has become a religious tourism with several visits reaching 440 thousand people in 2016. Unfortunately, the opportunity has not been supported by useful information management. This is evidenced by the limited knowledge of the meaning of ornamental variety by the tomb guards (kuncen), so that the ornament only becomes decoration without meaning. <br /> <br /> The purpose of this study was to (1) map the decorative structure in the Sunan Drajat tomb complex, (2) the influence of Sunan Drajat's teachings and thoughts on the decorative forms in the Sunan Drajat complex, and (3) find the decorative aesthetic significance in Sunan Drajat's tomb complex. The research method used is Djelantik aesthetic analysis, and Thomas Munro's morphological aesthetics. <br /> <br /> The results obtained from this study, among others (1) ornamental variety in the tomb complex of Sunan Drajat uses naturalist ideas, the shape of the plant as the main idea with the carving styles of Jepara, Cirebon, and Majapahit, (2) the decoration in the tomb complex of Sunan Drajat contains teachings and the thoughts of Sunan Drajat are in the form of chess piwulang (teachings) and sapta paweling (reminders), and (3) from aspects of aesthetic meaning, the form of ornamentation in the tomb complex of Sunan Drajat is dominated by decorative flora, scenery (rocks, water, buildings), fauna, and the mythological ornamentation (kala and kedok) contains the meaning of the teachings and thoughts of Sunan Drajat. The results of the study are expected to be used as references in making religious tourism Sunan Drajat’s identity, and information on the thoughts and teachings of Sunan Drajat which are contained in the ornament that is relevant and useful for the current generation. text
