Description
Summary:
Jambi Sub-Basin is highly potential to be a basement reservoir. In drilling operational process, stability condition in crystalyn rocks is often ignored and considered stable. Wellbore stability is an important thing to drilling activity eficiency. Wellbore in study area is a deviated well, then stability issue in an important thing. Stability factors is mechanical factor such as operational factor and nature. Then, critically fractures will occur because of complex tectonic condition.

Fractures identification and geomechanic analysis is done to get stability condition and critically fractures. Fractures identification are obsereved from image log, then fracture intensity, density and porosity are constructed to find high porosity zones. Geomechanics in this wells is conduted insitu stress that work in study area. Insitu stress that observed are vertical stress (Sv), minimum horizontal stress (Shmin) and maximum horizontal stress (SHmax). Fractures that occured in well are analyzed their critical condition.

Study area has 2 wells; well-1 and well-2. Well-1 has highly fracture porosity zones at 6200’, 6400’ and 6700’ MD. Well- 2 has highly fracture porosity zones at 7000’,8200’ and8400’MD. Insitu stress regime in study area is strike-slip. Generally, wellbores in study area are stable because of basement rock homogenity and fractures in study area are critically condition at 5350’ TVD and 6100’ TVD in well-1 and at 5450’ TVD and 6150’ TVD.
