According to Environmental Department of Purwakarta, level of solid waste management in Purwakarta is 60%. Solid waste management activities in Purwakarta are storaging, collecting, transporting, and landfilling. The solid waste management that had been done has not been optimized and only limited to collecting-transporting-landfilling activities. The increasment of the number of solid waste that happens every year should be managed in a new way to reduce solid waste generation that could shorten the service period of the landfill. Paradigm of solid waste management with the old system without any management in advance should be replaced with a new system. Integrated Solid Waste Management Site is a system that should be used as solutions to solve solid waste problems. The solid waste generation that is planned to be processed in TPST is solid waste from the market place and commercial area/office which has a percentage of 20.5% of total solid waste generation in Purwakarta. This amount is close to the amount of solid waste that needs to be processed in TPST according to the 100-0-100 program, which is 25%. From the characteristics of solid waste that will be processed in TPST, there will be planned three solid waste management systems in TPST according to Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method from 5 aspects that affect the solid waste management system. text |
