Geologically, KSB Field is a northwest-southeast trending anticline associated with northeast-southwest trending normal faults that is located in KSB Structure, North Sumatera Basin. The studies are focused in Keutapang Formation with two sandstone reservoirs which are Reservoir 1 at the depth of 393.61 – 693.93m and Reservoir 2 at the depth of 361.55 – 663.99m. <br /> The research is intended to determine the reservoir model and estimate original hydrocarbon in place of those resevoirs. Three methods are used in this research: first method is well data analysis by doing well to well correlation using sequence stratigraphy concept, electrofacies analysis from wireline log data and cutting descriptions, and petrophysical analysis; second method is seismic data analysis by depth structure map generation and reservoir geometry determination; third method is reservoir modelling by 3D structure and petrophysical property model generation, fluid contact determination, and original hydrocarbon in place estimation. <br /> Results of those methods are geological condition and original hydrocarbon in place of the reservoir intervals. Each reservoir interval is 30-40m thick of sandstone with intercalated shale. Main structure of KSB Field is a northwest-southeast trending anticline associated with northeast-southwest trending normal faults. Those structures have divided the hydrocarbon accumulation become three compartmentalizations. Depositional facies of Reservoir 1 is a barrier-bar associated with tidal-inlet, whereas Reservoir 2 is shoreface with southwest-northeast direction of sedimentation. The original hydrocarbon in place estimation of those reservoir intervals are 118 MMSTB of oil and 15.509 BSCF of gas.<p align="justify"> text |
