As a result, when the production well needs artificial lift installation, the design will be limited by the wellbore sizing of producing well. Additional parameter in wellbore sizing of producing well until production processes need to be added. That is artificial lift design which will be used in order to recover the production rate to get optimum rate. <br />

Process of additional parameter is done through several stages based on the prediction performance of flow rate producing well. Flow rate performance can be predicted until a certain period from simulation process. Well testing simulation will be used and by monitoring at the relationship between flow rate and pressure in well to improve the quality of the prediction. Results of well testing simulation will be used to determine inflow performance relationship (IPR) curve. Artificial lift will be installed on producing well when decline rate reached. The type of artificial lift which used in this study is electric submersible pump (ESP). ESP already became artificial lift commonly used in the oil field and has advantages in applications in the oil field. Determination of wellbore sizing will take into account the design of the ESP. <br />

Reservoir model which used in this study is the Segment Model-12 (Gullfaks Field) with the characteristics that has been changed. Type of producing well is vertical well model. Flow rate performance will be made based on the sensitivity of variations, two variable will be used in this study are tubing head pressure and liquid flow rate. The addition of ESP design parameter will be used to determine the minimum size of the production Casing. Wellbore sizing of producing well such as Casing configuration from production Casing to surface Casing will take into account the pore pressure and the fracture pressure based on literature survey. <br />

The result of this study is wellbore sizing configuration which has been analyzed using ESP in performance prediction. Hopefully that result can be used for integrating the drilling process and the production process. This parameter will affect on the final stages of welbore sizing planning of producing well. The final stage in the planning is not limited until the well establish, but until performance of producing well in operation and design of electric submersible pump which will be used. The flexibility will be provided from the drilling process can reach method of optimization to be applied in the production process. |
