In recent years, the use of electronic identity (e-ID) in many countries has grown rapidly and needs a mechanism to verify the user. For this final project, a Portable e-ID verification system is made to supply the verification device needed in the society. Portable e-ID device is a hardware used to verify whether the holder of an e-ID card is the owner of that identity. This book describes the design process of the Fingerprint and Power Management Unit (PMU) subsystems, as well as the integration of the Portable e-ID verification system as a whole. The designed systems then are implemented and tested to see their functionality and their performance. These tests include the testing of Fingerprint subsystem’s ability to receive fingerprint template for matching process, the ability of the PMU to supply the operating power to the device and its performance of discharging and charging time, as well as the testing the functionality of the integration of the whole hardware system with the Android smartphone-based application that is made. <br />
