In general the capacity of design is higher than the capacity operation. This condition means that the material requirement or capital cost, and operational cost are also higher than that needed during operation. <br /> <br /> Considering in heat transfers procces, it is predicted that there are some heat exchanger areas are not effective. If this part is removed, so we have the partial heat exchanger, with expecting to be more effective and lower in capital operational cost. <br /> <br /> This research is carried on the study experimentally of the heat exchanger performance (both fully and partial heat exchangers) especially on the heat transfers, fan energy consumption, friction coefficient, and power dissipated through the surface of heat exchanger. The result shows that the heat exchanger type C0002 gives the reduction of power consumption up to 68% with 102% of heat transfer reduction and 4,2% of material saving. text |
