There are two categories in textile production technique namely structure design which aims to process the formation of decorative with textile making, while the background is aimed to process the formation of decoration which is done after the textile is formed. One of the techniques of textile production is the mola applique. Indonesian society in general not much familiar with mola applique technique because this technique almost never been introduced in Indonesia. However, Indonesia has a wide variety of ornaments. One of them is Toraja carving ornament. In this final project, the exploration will produce technique of mola applique and embroidery with inspiration of Toraja carving ornament. Exploration results will be applied to fashion products which is women clothing. The technique of applique mola and embroidery with the inspiration of Toraja carving ornament has the potential to be explored and can be recognized by the society. text
