Demand for edamame in local and export markets are very high, but productivity are still low. One of the challenges of local edamame cultivation is to design a cultivation system using organic fertilizer with a level of productivity close to a conventional cultivation system. The study was designed to determine the productivity of edamame edible pods and the doses of compost fertilizer that provide the best productivity and fresh pod quality. The study was conducted using Completely Randomized Design (RAL) consisting of 3 fertilizer treatments (dosage 3, 5, and 7 ton / ha) and 6 replications. The result of ANOVA statistic test showed that the compost organic fertilizer dosage treatment had no significant effect (p> 0,05) on vegetative and production parameters. The quality of edamame pods shown in the Total Dissolved Size (TPT) parameters, appearance, aroma, texture, and taste are favorable. Edamame edible pod productivity at 3, 5, and 7 tons / ha treatment was 3.41 tons / ha, respectively; 3.18 tons / ha; and 3.00 tons / ha. The 3 ton / ha dose provides the highest productivity and good quality.

text |
