| Summary: | Al Islam Hospital is class B private-owned which is under Yayasan RSI KSWI Jawa Barat, located on Soekarno-Hatta St. No. 644, Bandung. Until now Al Islam Hospital sends their medical waste two a third party, a company who can incinerate the medical waste. Whereas, Al Islam Hospital has potential to treat its own generated medical waste on-site which can minimize the risk of transportation. Based on the observation done on March 3-10, 2017, it was found that the daily average medical waste generation is 0.855/kg/bed/day. To treat it, incineration facility is designed using the technology of fluidized bed with the capacity of 170 kg/day. The facility is built on a brand new building located on a free space to the northwest of hospital’s main building. The treatment is equipped by cutting machine, heat exchanger, and air pollution control technology such as selective catalytic reduction denoxification and wet scrubber. |
