Informal settlment in the big cities of Indonesia growing due to the increasing urbanization which is not proportional with the land supply.Moreover, it is also caused by the inability of the society to reach a formal houses privided by the government or private, until finally they prefer to live in the urban kampoong. <br /> <br /> Urban kampoong is one of informal settlement in Indonesia. This settlement formed independently, irregular, and not equipped with adequate infrastructure.However, these irregularities resulted in a distinct characteristic that sets it apart from other settlements.Moreover, this settlement is also a cornerstone for most residents in the city, particularly those belonging to low-income communities.So that required special attention from the city government to arrange for the better and may be part of the development of the city. <br /> <br /> Kampung beting is one of informal settlement in Indonesia. Similar to other informal settlements, this settlement also develop independently and do not have adequate infrastructure.The development process independently produce various forms of home that can form a separate category typology of informal houses in Indonesia.In addition, the legality of residential land is also one of the problems faced by the residents.Based on the legality of the land, the status of the land in the settlement of land divided into legal and illegal.The land status differences have an impact of the occupant's tenure security. <br /> <br /> This study aims to determine how the typology of the house, the occupants tenure security, and those relationship. The research method used is a combination of qualitative and quantitative method (mix method). Data was collected by interviews, observation, and documentation. Analysis of the data used is tipo-morphological analysis and correlational analysis. The analyzed typology based on the catagorization plan type, facade type, and site type. Meanwhile, the occupant’s tenure security analyzed by de jure, de facto tenure security, and perceived tenure security. Through data analysis, it was found that the house typology in this settlement are consist of 6 types of floor plans, 5 types of facade, and 3 types of site type. Based on an analysis of the typology of the house as a whole, it was found that there are 3 types of houses in this settlement that can be devided into basic type, small type, and large type. Meanwhile, based on data analysis of the occupant’s tenure security, it is known that dwellers in the legal area settled by de jure recognition, while the dweller in the illegal area settled by de facto recognition. Furthermore, through the correlation analysis between tenure security and the house typology can be concluded that complexity of the house associated with de jure and de facto recognition, give the significant impact to the preception of the occupants.<p align="justify"> text |
