Description
Summary:The rapid development of technology, especially information technology, has also encouraged various industrial sectors in Indonesia to compete to create innovative works by combining electronic communication and technology technologies, including in the education sector. The education sector also develops along with the development of technology and information by producing learning media or online or online-based learning systems, or also commonly called e-learning. This was evidenced by the emergence of several technology pioneers or start-ups engaged in education. Currently there are many e-learning applications that have been running or are being developed, one of the e-learning being developed is Vidyanusa. Vidyanusa is an elearning framework about learning digital media and games. The purpose of creating a Vidyanusa framework is to realize an e-learning application that is more interactive, collaborative and fun for students and systematic and comprehensive for teachers. One of the Vidyanusa features developed for this research is Learning Management System (LMS) which has the function of correcting answers from quiz questions on essay and video recommendations. After the student completes the essay quiz, an analysis of the students' answers is then obtained from the results of the answers, the items that become video recommendations should be learned by students to improve their understanding of the material that is still considered lacking. This video recommendation feature utilizes the YouTube video recommendation system. System testing was carried out by applying quasi experimental design method with one group pretest posttest design. A total of 10 students of 8th grade junior high school were tested in the first chapter of the Biology subject essay quiz about motion on living things. The group of students who took this test were divided into two groups, the group tested using the LMS Vidyanusa system and the group that was tested manually (paper based). The time difference between manual treatment and the system is 32.8 seconds so that it is evident that the video recommendation system on the Vidyanusa LMS can optimize the learning process of students.
