One effective, easy-to-make, and available to physical modelling is geobag structure. <br /> <br /> In this final project is done physical modeling on geobag structure to obtain optimal wave height reduction. Scenario of the models is done by altering the height of the structure and the variation of the initial wave parameters which are set through the wavemaker tool. The standard used in the physical model test of geobag structure is Physical Models and Laboratory Techniques in Coastal Engineering book. <br /> <br /> The results of this Final Project analysis proves that the height of the structure affects the transmission coefficient (Kt). The greater of the structure height affect the value of the transmission coefficient (Kt) is smaller. Therefore, the high structure that reaches Mean Sea Level (MSL) is much more effective in reducing the wave than the structure with the height of half MSL. <br /> <br /> In addition, an analysis of transmission coefficient (Kt) with wave steepness and h / Hi has been performed. The greater of the wave steepness resulted the value of the transmission coefficient (Kt) getting smaller. And the greater of h/Hi resulted the value of transmission coefficient (Kt) is also getting smaller.<p align="justify"> text |
