Hybrid energy system integrates renewable energy sources with other energy sources to generate electrical energy to be delivered to the load. In this study, a power plant with hybrid enegy system will be designed in an area wherethe electrification ratio is low. The selected area is Leiting Village which is inhabited by 604 residents and located in Aru Islands District, Maluku Province. This area ownsaverage annual renewable energy potentialsof solar irradianceof 5.27 kWh/m2/day and wind speeds of 4.88 m/s. These renewable energy resources will be taken into account to find the best and economical system design for 2 types of loads, that is communal load of 20 kWh with peak load of 2.15 kWp and administrative office loads of 11 kWh with peak load of 1 kWp.The designed system uses simulation results fromvarious softwares, namely HOMER Pro, PVsyst, and PVSOL.The result of this study is the design of a power plant system which has high fraction of renewable energy and low Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) value for communal and administrative office loads; and issuitable to be implemented to Leiting Village in order to increase the electrification ratio in Indonesia.<p align="justify"> text
