In order to accomodate the demand for the design life, the airport’s airside facilities are to be redesigned including geometry and pavement design. Designing methodology is based on the standards from International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Other than that, evaluation of landside facilities is conducted in accordance with the standards from SNI 03-7046-2004.

The designing of airport’s airside facilities results in runway’s geometry of 3000 meter in length and 45 meter in width. There are 4 entrance/exit taxiways and one parallel taxiway designed of 25 meter in total width. For the apron, the geometry is designed to accommodate 11 aircraft in total per day including the Remain Over Night aircrafts and acquires of 100 meters in length and 450 meters in width. The pavement’s structure consists of flexible pavement and rigid pavement with thickness of 920 mm and 700 mm relatively.

The evaluation of airport’s landside facilities shows that most of the facilities have already met the demands for the design life in an excellent level of service. The improvement needed is to enhance the number of x-ray device for two units in the security screening. Another evaluation is conducted for the parking area of light vehicle, motorcycle, and bus resulting in the demand of car, motorcycle, and bus parking area has been accommodated. The area for taxi’s parking requires an expansion of 516 m2 area.

text
