motor population which led to increased fuel consumption affecting various sectors. Sale

of injection scooter in West Java 2014-2016 year was one of the biggest contributors with

the amount of 2,260,470 motor.

Performance test was performed on a four-stroke injection scooter motor with a

compression ratio of 9.2:1(110cc); 9.5:1(125cc); 10.7:1(150cc); and 11:1(125cc) above

the chassis dynamometer using RON90 (PL), RON92 (PM), and RON98 (PT) fuels from

PT Pertamina. Testing based on ECE standard 15. Different driving modes were used to

determine the effect of constant speed and torque, the entire cycle mode to simulate

driving conditions on the road, and inertial sweep mode to determine motor power.

The higher compression ratio and octane number increase power, efficiency,

BMEP, and mileage. The test results were considered to represent each motor population

to determine the effect of use with the assumption of use for 57 minutes / day and fuel

type PM 59%, PL 36%, PT 5%. The increase in population in 2014-2016 resulted in an

increase in fuel consumption of 1.05 million bbl of energy 138,147 TOE or 1.34 trillion

rupiahs or 33.96 tons CO₂ emissions. However, the increasing use of high compression

ratio motors in 2015-2016 resulted in fuel consumption savings of 1.74% compared to

2014-2015. If 2,260,470 motors were used, the high compression ratio motor has saved

4,616,227 liters of fuel or 159,354 GJ or 36.90 billion rupiah or 0.93 ton CO₂. |
