One of the machine tools that is often found in the manufacturing industry as well as small and medium level production workshops is the drilling machine. By developing variations of the drilling machine according to certain work ranges will increase the efficiency and effectiveness of machine usage. <br /> <br /> In this research, the development of geometry will be carried out on the construction of the drilling machine by applying parametric design methods. Parametric design is one of the design methods to create new designs / objects based on old designs / objects but with different needs by considering several parameters. In this research, the considered parameters are the rigidity of the construction of the drilling machine, with reference to the rigidity of the design by the previous research results. Stiffness is obtained by using static analysis to get deformation then comparing it with the force that causes the deformation. The results obtained are five new designs based on motor power with the same construction stiffness. <br /> <br /> Along with many studies on the development of machine tools in Indonesia, hopefully that Indonesia will compete in the global market in the manufacturing industry sector. text |
