Water Treatment Plant Badaksinga (WTP) consist of two main installation which is WTP I that was build and designed by french Company; Degremont in 1958 and the second installation was bulid and designed by Dutch Company; DHV in 1989. Research method consist of three phase which are primary and secondary collecting, evaluation, and development. Flocculation unit (Clarifier) and Sedimentation Unit (Plate Settler) operate in over capacity. While, on normal operational condition, flocculation and sedimentation units operate at 200 – 300 lps, while they are designed maximum capacity at 200 lps. Over capacity at these units occur due to flow water control in PDAM Badaksinga. Flocc particle still can be seen even after the sedimentation treatment, this happened because of there is a deadzone on plate settler thus made plate settler worked less effective. Less effective of floc settling process in plate settler unit is can be cause by the plate settler position is not submerged. This condition can cause less area of settling surface. Redesign is needed for uprating the capacity of water treatment plant and improving the hydraulic system in flocculation and sedimentation unit. Redesign result are modificating the dimension of flocculator basin and plate settlers are now submerged text
