These characteristic make heavy oil is difficult to produce. One of method to solve this challenge to increase recovery factor of heavy oil is cyclic steam stimulation. Cyclic steam stimulation is a most common method that is used for increasing recovery factor of heavy oil because this method have more advantage than another thermal method.

In this study, development plan for heavy oil field has been done with CMG_STARS simulator. Before creating development plan, the injection variable sensitivity study toward recovery factor is needed This sensitivity study is done to get well optimum injection variable for development plan. The injection variable that is used for sensitivity study are injection rate, soaking time, injection time, steam quality, temperature and amount of cyclic.

In this study, development plan has been done by changing kind and amount of producer well in this reservoir model. Optimum scheme is decided by considering recovery factor and economic analysis each scheme. Based on each scheme that has been done in this study, optimum development plan based economic analysis is by doing 2 vertical infill drilling. The result of this scheme are recovery factor 16.91 %, net present value 19,579,945.60 US$, return of rate 42.08% and pay out time 2.96 year for 20 year production. text
