Comparing to other switching techniques, packet switching is the most widely used in data communication network. A few of the concerns in designing of this switching lies on the packet handling, transmission lines, and the packet switches. <br />
In packet switches, schedulers are applied to handle the input queues. Two Dimensional Round-robin (2DRR) Basic and Enhance algorithm have been found2, and their main aim is to improve the fairness in servicing the queues. In data communication network, these algorithms are implemented as hardware.</p> SimPakSwi is a simulator which simulates a packet switch implementing 2DRR Basic and Enhance algorithm. <br />
SimPakSwi is designed as an application in Windows 95 environment, and its main purpose is to strengthen the truth of these algorithms. This purpose can be achieved if the out-put of SimPakSwi, which is in the form of simulation statistic, matches with the result of the RR2D algorithm analysis. |
