Summary: | The arboreality of treefrogs is tested against other frogs, as the member of this family are known to have a relatively large eyes with assumption that good eyesight is indispensable to forage among leaves and branches and also to facilitate preying or to avoid predation. Interspecies comparison showed that eyesight, stereoscopy and head form did not contribute significantly between species which forages on different habitat and niches. However Polypedates leucomystax is the only species which differs to all 12 other species and the width of eye panoramic sight and the larger extent of stereoscopy contribute significantly. |
