Hydropower is one of the renewable energy that is considered to have enormous potential in the fulfillment of electricity needs. The purpose of this final project is to obtain the optimal design of Gorlov turbine under the operating conditions of the cooling water flow channel of the condenser steam power plant. The design modelling was done by varying the turbine geometry which is the chord length of the turbine’s blades and the blade’s airfoil profile. Gorlov turbines were simulated using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software in order to know the performance of the Gorlov turbine under operating conditions. The simulation process was performed at various rotational speeds to determine the optimum point of turbine performance. The simulation results showed that from some models of Gorlov turbines, the highest performing Gorlov turbine has a height of 2.4 m and diameter of 2.4 m and using the airfoil modified NACA 0012 profile with 1m chord length capable of generating power up to 14.6 kW at 2 rad/s rotational speed with power coefficient reaching 0.32. <p align="justify"> text
