Summary: | Campus bicycles are one of the facilities provided by ITB to help students at ITB mobilize from one building to another. Bicycles are regulated by Ganesa Bike, a student organization that has an interest in bicycles. Because there is no special management team to deal with campus bicycles, campus bike management at ITB still uses a simple method. This causes security problems such as loss of bicycles and problems in management such as users who park carelessly, and difficulties in finding bicycles.
This final project aims to deal with security issues that occur on campus bikes, supported by several functionalities that can help the Ganesa Bike team manage campus bikes more easily. In this final project an IoT-based system will be created. That is a system that uses embedded devices as a basis for securing and detecting the location of bicycles.
The system is made up of 3 parts. The first embedded device, this section as written above is useful as a bicycle safety and bike location detection. The second, is a web application that functions as a place for data management, and also functions to receive and send data between android applications and embedded devices. The last is the Android application, this application serves as a tool so that users can borrow bicycles, as well as tools for managers to receive information about the condition of the bike.
After being implemented and verified with the ITB Ganesa Bike team, this system can be utilized because their problems can be overcome. But there is still a need to add some feature to make it can be implemented on the ITB campus bike.
