RESERVOIR PERFORMANCE ESTIMATION WITH HUFF & PUFF CO2 INJECTION
CO2 injection is one of the popular EOR methods that is highly potential to be developed for oil fields in Indonesia. Fields with no surface facilities to supply CO2 generally use the huff & puff method as an option. So far reservoir simulations have been used widely as the tool to study and mod...

Predictive models initially were developed in 1980s, they are based on limited parameters of their simulation studies. In the present work, new parameters have been introduced in addition to the ones used in the previous models. These parameters include drainage area, bottom hole pressure, injection flow rate, injection time, soaking time and production time for each injection cycle. <br />

Results of this study are then compared to those obtained from the previous methods as well as verified with field data. Matching to field data is achieved by changing the parameter values that were not taken into account in the previous works. Furthermore, this can be use to design an optimum injection. In general, the predictive model developed in this study applies more parameters to describe reservoir and injection in order to get more realistic outcomes. |
