Description
Summary:Injection molding is the most used production process for mass production of plastic products. Mold maker company still develop and study the way to improve the quality and eliminate the defect in mold. Warpage is one of the defect in injection molding product that appear as a deflection which make the product doesn’t have a required geometric or can’t be assembled. Antenna cover which an object of research in this paper still has warpage defect in molding trial. Antenna cover is one of a part in car interior which has a base material from PBT GF30. This research will find the cause and solution of warpage defect that can be implemented to improve the quality of warpage defect in antenna cover mold analysis in process parameter, cooling temperature, feeding system, geometry, and glass fiber composition. Injection molding processes are simulated using Autodesk Moldflow to help the analysis process and reduce the time and cost for the real trial process. This research also using quality improvement methods like fishbone and taguchi optimalization for the mold quality improvement analysis guideline to reduce the defect.
