Summary: | Dam is a construction like barrier which built to stops or restrict the flow of water and considered as a installations containing dangerous forces due to the impact with a massive danger when dam break occurs. Dam break itself is a phenomenon when the dam can no longer hold the flow of water and let water contained to spill. As way to anticipate the impact, an approach to the interaction between fluid particles and a solid object is needed to be find out about how much impact the phenomenon can give. Hence, we need an approach method to do this and one of the method is numerical method like the smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) method that can perform dynamic simulation process for a continuous media such as the fluid flow in the spilled water from dam break, SPH method can also be used to solve the navier-stokes equation that plays an important role in reviewing the flow of a fluid. In this project will be reviewed about the impact that will be given by a fluid to a solid object by varying the height of the fluid or the solid object. |
