Summary: |
In geothermal exploration, magnetotelluric method (MT) has the capability to resolve conductive body which is interpreted as cap rock. In this study, the magnetotelluric method was applied in Tangkuban Perahu volcanic area to reveal the subsurface structure of the area and the second objective is carrying out modelling of Tangkuban Perahu’s geothermal system based on MT data integrated by geological and geochemistry data in order to disclose a better subsurface structure. Due to the uncertainty of MT modelling, dimensionality analysis is performed to find out MT data characteristic as a priori before doing MT inversion modelling. Polar diagram, and induction arrow were used to determine the dimensionality of MT data. To analyze the data, 1D inversion modelling was conducted using Occam and D+ inversion. Geoelectrical strike is determined based on polar diagram and geological lineament. 2D inversion modelling is conducted by using Occam inversion scheme in WinGlink.
From the above results, in regard to the Tangkuban geothermal system, performed integrated secondary data (geology, geochemistry, and other geophysics data). The geothermal system is considered two systems consists of two heat sources and two reservoirs. Heat source on the northern part is geopressure and the reservoir is sediment rocks. Heat source on the southern part is volcanic heat source and reservoir on the southern part is an an alternative pyroclastic and lava.
|
