Description
Summary:
Indonesian government includes train safety improvement in the National Train Main Development Plan (RIPNAS). One of the strategy is to make a regulation that will keep the safety of passenger during collision. Currently, the passive crashworthiness safety regulations in Indonesia have not been meet the specific parameters which is based on Indonesian train collision scenarios. Therefore, a study that predicts collision responses that represent possible collision scenarios in Indonesia is needed.

This final assignment is made to provide simulation and analysis to predict K1 train responses in various possible train collision scenarios in Indonesia such as on a the straight rail and curving with 600 m radius without a transitional curve. Modeling and simulation is made using multibody dynamics and software SIMPACK. Modelling is done with no impact absorber model and elastic-plastic. Collisions are modelled with closing speed 10 m/s.

Modelling and simulatioin with these method resulting collisions effect such as derailment climbing, and buckling. Differences in the direction of acceleration during collisions produce different effects on colliding objects. The results obtained are expected to be taken into consideration by the government in making the Indonesian railway regulation.
