Description
Summary:
Sultan Thaha Airport is an airport located in Jambi City, Jambi Province, Indonesia. The airport is managed by PT Angkasa Pura II, which was previously managed by the Jambi Provincial Transportation Agency. The airport was built during colonial times under the name of Paalmerah Airport. As a public transport infrastructure, airports have limited service capacity. This limitation needs to be solved by designing in accordance with the number of forecasted demand so that the design is sufficient and does not cause excessive design in comparison with the number of passengers in the reference year in 2038.

Transportation aspects reviewed in this final project are the design of geometry, pavement, markers, and signs on the airport side infrastructure of Sultan Thaha Airport. A review of terminal circulation and evaluation of passenger parking areas is also reviewed as an additional support from the infrastructure aspects of the landside.

Airside design is generally a function of passenger projection, aircraft modulation, and scheduling. The analysis is translated into technical requirement of the airside and the landside at Sultan Thaha Airport. The airside infrastructure is designed based on ICAO Annex 14: Aerodromes and landside infrastructure is designed based on SNI 03-7046-2004: Airport Passenger Terminal.
