Decision-making by golf tourists in determining Bandung and its surroundings as a golf tourism destination, which is a type of special interest tourism, is influenced by the characteristics and socio-demographic conditions of tourists as well as push factors that are intrinsic motivators, and pull factors that are the result of attraction of a destination <br /> <br /> To find out more about the characteristics and motivation of tourists in choosing Bandung and its surroundings as a golf tourism destination which is the area of research study, this final project conducted a study on how the characteristics, what is the motivation and how the assessment golfer on the golf course in Bandung and surroundings, namely Dago Heritage 1917 Golf Course, Mountain View Golf Club, and Bandung Giri Gahana Golf & Resort and provide an overview of how the market of golf tourists in Indonesia, especially in Bandung and surrounding areas. <br /> <br /> The verification research with descriptive-correlational method is done by using quantitative-qualitative concurrent mix approach and using primary data based on field observation, interview, questionnaire and documentation of image, and secondary data in the form of literature study, government policy, reports, and other media either from related institutions, mass media and internet. The study population was all golfer who played golf in the study area within 1 year, while the sample used in this study was 100 golfer who was playing golf in the study area during September 2017. Data analysis was performed using Microsoft Excel program (Ver. 2016) and Social Science Statistics Package (SPSS, Ver.23). Descriptive statistical analysis is used to summarize the findings of data on Basic Tourist Information and Golfer Information. Exploratory factor analysis is used to determine the level of correlation or relationship between variables within a factor in attribute motivation and attribute assessment of destination. Principal component analysis is used to determine the factor-forming variables in attribute motivation and attribute of destination assessment. Confirmatory factor analysis is used to confirm the results of this research analysis with previous research results which is a reference in this final project research. Bartlet's feasibility test, Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) sample adequacy measurement, measurement and determination of eigenvalue, realibility coefficiency, communalities, factor loading and use of varimax rotation is a process used in conducting exploratory factor analysis. Majority in this study, golfer is men with age range 35-44 years who come from Java Island and self-employed is the main job. Relaxation and recreation are the main motivations in doing golf tourism. Most of the respondents have cultivated for 6-9 years and is a category of business traveler golfer. Golfer does a golf tour in Bandung with colleagues on weekends with a length of stay of only 1 day. Montain View Golf Club is a favorite golf course, and golfing tours during this research is the only destination and part of the tour where culinary tours become a tourist type that is done in addition to golf tourism. The main component analysis yields 4 factors in motivation attributes, namely Relaxation and Togetherness, Prestige Destination, Business Benefits and Opportunities, and 5 factors in assessment of destination attributes, namely Design and Amenitas, Facilities, Conditions Golf Course, Activities and Services. Previous research instruments may be used in this study but the results of research in a study site can not be generalized with other study sites.<p align="justify"> <br /> <br />
