This study aims to select high yielder pinus plus tree candidate as seed source. <br /> <br /> Research is conducted in Propelat area owned by Bosscha Observatory, Lembang, West <br /> <br /> Bandung Regency in May to August 2017. The tree evaluation method is using Scoring <br /> <br /> System by Comparing Average Tree (SSCAT) which is comparing plus tree candidate <br /> <br /> (CPP) by its seven morphological characters including total height, trunk diameter, resin <br /> <br /> production rate, stem straightness, stem cylindricity, health, fruiting capability, and <br /> <br /> branching. This research concluded 70 CPP whose location is unevenly distributed. Those <br /> <br /> 70 CPP has a range of sap production between 1.18 to 14.32 gram/month. Tree diameter <br /> <br /> ranged from 35.36 to 65.61 cm and tree height from 16 to 27 meters. After evaluating <br /> <br /> average value of diameter, total height, and sap productivity then 33 plus trees (PP) are <br /> <br /> selected.
