With the availibility of a weir, it will increase the economy especially for Deli Serdang regency people. <br />

Weir have three parts, first is toe wall, second is weir crest, and stilling basin. Weir crest have a few type and one of them is Ogee type. Ogee crest weir have 4 type of crest based on WES criteria. Back water analysis is done to decide what type of WES criteria is being used for this weir. For stilling basin will be used USBR type of stilling basin based on froud number that fulfill the requirement. <br />

Belawan weir have 42 meter wide and 5 meter high. The length of toe wall is 13,75 meter. Weir crest that is used is 1 on 0,67 upstream face slope with USBR type II for stilling basin. Leght of the stilling basin is 18,07 meter dan length of the main weir is 28,25 meter. Length of backwater for 1 on 0,67 upstream face slope is 2227,2 meter and have a froud number of 4,48. Belawan weir have calculated planning cost Rp. 30.929.175.301.<p align="justify"> <br />
