Summary: |
In recent years, the use of electronic identity (e-ID) in many countries has grown rapidly and needs a mechanism to verify the user. One of the use of e-ID in society is as an identity card, which is called a smartcard e-ID. For this final project, a portable e-ID verification system is made to verify whether the user of the e-ID card is the real card holder based on their personal information and the information stored inside the smartcard. The system consists of two subsystems, which are the hardware smartcard reader and an Android based software application. Both subsystems are integrated using Bluetooth communication. The parties involved in this verification system are the smartcard e-ID holder and an operator who helps the verification process. This document focuses on the hardware development. The hardware function as smartcard e-ID reader and one of the verification feature with portable design. The verification is automatic with fingerprint autentification. Fingerprint data obtained from smartcard e-ID holder. The testing shows that the subsystem is able to perform well by showing the signal that fingerprint verification is successful and other data in smartcard can be displayed.
|
