Lots of plants can be grown in Indonesia. One of them is soybeans. Soybeans that are currently known by the Indonesian people are 3 types, there are yellow soybeans, green soybeans (edamame), and black soybeans. Almost everyone in Indonesia consumes such as tempeh, tofu, soy sauce, milk / juice, etc that produced by processing yellow soybean. While black soybeans are only as raw material for soy sauce for all needs in Indonesia. In other countries such as Korea and Japan, black soybeans have been used as raw material for functional foods, one of which is to become sprouts. The objectives to be carried out in this study were to determine UV light content with a suitable time to increase biomass, morphology, germination, chlorophyll content, and isoflavone content of black soybean sprouts. Germinating seeds done in 7 chambers differ according to their respective time treatments. 7 time treatment are the control or duration of irradiation for 0 hours, then 4 hours, 8 hours, 12 hours, 16 hours, 20 hours, and 24 hours. Each treatment has 4 replications and each replication consists of 50 germinated seeds. Data collection was carried out for biomass character and morphology on days 2 and 4, germination, chlorophyll content and isoflavones on day 4. Biomass includes wet weight, dry weight, air content of black soybean sprouts. Morphology includes root length and hypocotyl black soybean sprouts. Germination potency is determine by calculating the number of seeds that can be sprouting compared with the total germinated seed. Chlorophyll content of black sprouts uses a spectrophotometer and calculates using the Wintermans and De Mots formulas. Black sprout isoflavone levels using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and calculated with a value found from the regression results. Statistical tests to see the significance of treatment were tested on biomass observations, morphology, and germination. Data are analyzed with analysis of variance (ANOVA). Then it tested using the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The UV light content with varying duration of exposure to black soybean germination had a significant effect on the 4th day weight, the 2nd and 4th day air content, the length of the 4th day, and the length of the 2nd and 4th days. . For the 2nd day weight, dry weight on the 2nd and 4th days, hypocotyl length of day 2, and insignificant power. The UV light content with a different duration of irradiation on the black soybeans also has an influence on the levels of chlorophyll and its isoflavone content. The highest chlorophyll content was in 12 hours treatment with a value of 0.502 mg / l. The highest isoflavone content for daidzein and genistein is at 8 hours treatment with a value of 0.594 ppm and 0.590 ppm respectively, while for glycite is 24 hours treatment with a value of 0.668 ppm

text
