One of the causal factors is the weak legal consequences that are affected by the inadequate evidence that can be used in court so that proving the wrong of a road user is difficult. The application of Car Black Box as a vehicle data recorder when accident occurs can be a solution in this case. Car Black Box has the main function to acquire acceleration, location (GPS) and On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) data on the car. The data is stored in a non-mechanical storage and made for easy access. The device is also designed to be added dual video recording functionality, collision detection and bad behaviour warning system which require quite powerful microprocessor. In its implementation, this system use Raspberry Pi 3 model B as microprocessor, MPU6050 as accelerometer, U-blox Neo 6M as GPS and ELM327 as OBD adapter. In addition, there is also a system to manage the memory usage by deletion periodically old files. Users can access the data files by using a USB flash drive and pressing a button. The designed system can meet the initial specifications but the sampling rate obtained on the data acquisition is still dependent on the performance of the processor on the Raspberry Pi used. This is because the limitations of the Raspberry Pi which can't do real time processing.

text
