Water soluble stabilizer is used as fabric stabilizer <br /> <br /> <br /> during embroidery process. This medium has water soluble properties so embroidery <br /> <br /> <br /> made directly above it can form a structural embroidery. <br /> <br /> <br /> Water soluble stabilizer has been used to create cutwork embroidery creations for <br /> <br /> <br /> over thirty years in Germany and in America. Cutwork is a hollow or perforated <br /> <br /> <br /> embroidered creations. In Indonesia embroidery as it is known as ‘krancang’ <br /> <br /> <br /> embroidery and still perforated with scissors or solder. The use of water soluble <br /> <br /> <br /> stabilizer can be applied to develop the creation of krancang embroidery and <br /> <br /> <br /> structural embroidery to make applicable textiles on fashion products. <br /> <br /> <br /> This final project begins with an observation about the basic technique of manual <br /> <br /> <br /> machine embroidery in Bandung, continued by further observation and exploration in <br /> <br /> <br /> Tasikmalaya as the center of embroidery craftsmen who create many ‘krancang’ <br /> <br /> <br /> embroidery. Basic exploration of embroidery techniques on the water soluble <br /> <br /> <br /> stabilizer that can form the fabric structure is done in both locations. Then, fashion <br /> <br /> <br /> products references based on the trend forecast of 2019-2020 by Badan Ekonomi <br /> <br /> <br /> Kreatif with the theme of Svarga are collected, which is then used to create mood <br /> <br /> <br /> board. Proceed to the final product design and sketches consists of five bags and two <br /> <br /> <br /> top aimed at women from upper middle class, with bold fashion style, and have a high <br /> <br /> <br /> appreciation towards tradition and its development. Furthermore, the production of <br /> <br /> <br /> textiles with structural embroidery techniques on the water soluble stabilizer in <br /> <br /> <br /> accordance with the sketches are made. The last stage is to apply the textile to the <br /> <br /> <br /> final product in accordance with the design that has been made. <br /> <br /> <br /> It is hoped that this final project can produce the right embroidery techniques to be <br /> <br /> <br /> done on the water soluble stabilizer that is useful to simplify and develop the <br /> <br /> <br /> creations of ‘krancang’ embroidery creations and can produce textiles using various <br /> <br /> <br /> development of structural embroidery techniques. text
