Description
Summary:Well testing is an important thing to obtain geothermal reservoir characteristics such as rock permeability, transmissivity, skin factor, reservoir pressure, reservoir boundaries, dan also layer heterogenity. One of the most common well test used in geothermal reservoir is falloff test. This test start with constant injection rate to the wellbore for some period of time followed by shut in period to see the pressure respond caused by the injection. The flow scheme and charactestics of the reservoir can be analyzed from the records.

This paper will be discussing the falloff test result using Manual Horner Plot calculation and PTA software, to know the transmissivity, skin factor and also geothermal reservoir model. It is concluded that some of the wells are infinite and some are radial composite with or without fault. Some of the well doesn’t have enough pressure records to be Plotted so we could not make a valid conclution. For those wells a falloff test rerun will be needed.

There are 18 available well data but only 10 data which can be analyzed properly. Transmissivity conducted with PTA software ranges from 1640 mD.ft to 202000 mD.ft. Transmissivity conducted with Manual Horner ranges from 1655 mD.ft to 202819 mD.ft. Transmissivity and skin factor value conducted with PTA software are more reliable than the value from Manual Horner Plot. Manual Horner Plot can only predict homogenous reservoir and can not predict composite reservoir, so we use PTA software to help the modelling. Transmissivity value is directly proportional to maximum flow. Maximum flow predicted are 30 to 75 kg/s. All the wells are in damage condition so we must consider conducting stimulation such as air compression, gas lifting or well-to-well two phase injection.
