Summary: | Flooding is one of the most frequent natural disasters in Indonesia. Floods in Indonesia caused considerable losses. For example, flooding in Bandung Regency in March 2017 caused a loss of Rp3 billion. One of the causes of flooding is due to poor drainage networks as rainwater collectors. Poor drainage networks cause flooding because of the inability of drainage to collect water that falls to the ground. As a result, water stagnates on the ground and flooding occurs. The existence of a poor drainage network is caused by the maintenance of drainage networks that are not carried out effectively. The drainage network is not repaired according to the performance of each drainage. Therefore, a solution is needed to display drainage conditions so that treatment can be carried out effectively. Smart environment concept that can be used to overcome this problem. In this final project, a monitoring system prototype is designed to provide solutions to flood problems. The system will control 3 parameters related to flooding in the form of flood frequency, frequency of flood sources, and high water errors by providing feedback so that stakeholders can carry out maintenance in accordance with the results of feedback using data obtained from various sources and then processed. System development includes the implementation of hardware in the form of sensors and microprocessors and web-based software. The test results show that the system can run all defined function. The system can retrieve, process, and display all data appropriately. |
