Description
Summary:The high demand for oil and gas in Indonesia must be followed by the high exploration activity for oil and gas. As a geophysicist, the thing that can be donein exploration activity is to characterize the reservoir. this research field named "NND" field which is in northwest java basin. The hydrocarbon in this fieldis oil. Seismic inversion method i.e. model based and LPSS is used to characterize the reservoir in "nnd" field. The results of these inversions will be merged and will be sliced to obtain the distribution of acoustic impedance (AI) laterally. then, the map of AI wll be transformed into map of porosity distribution by using the linier regression equation. The high porosity concentrated at heights around the well NND03 and NND02, this is indicated because of the dissolution, so that this high area is diluted and tends to have high porosity. From the porosity distribution, the prospect zone is indicated near the well NND03 area. so that, for the development area in "NND" field, NND05 is proposed to be the new well which the location is 1 km from well NND03
